Knowledgebase: Gas Pressure Washer
How does water get into the pump oil (milky oil)?
Water can get into the transmission of the pump in a variety of ways. Sometimes, especially in humid environments, if the power washer sits in storage for long periods of time, condensation can allow water into the pump.

If the pump is equipped with a fill cap, site glass or drain plug ensure that they are tightly in place. Water can sometimes seep through while you are using your power washer.

If these are all tight, the oil seals in the piston guide may be worn and leaking. This will allow water from the pressure cylinder to leak into the pump housing. The seals will need to be replaced. Please contact a service center in your area to replace the seals.
